This story takes is to a new environment with new characters every page.  That is why just to do these few pages I had to do a lot of preparatory character designs.  This is what my current work space looks like:

It's begun!  Today we launch the story Axe Cop Gets Married.  Along with it, i have also launched what you could basically call my own wedding Kickstarter.  The website www.AxeCopWedding.com is now live and there is a bunch of stuff you can buy there to help me fund my wedding and it's all exclusive, custom Axe Cop stuff that will only be available to participants.  Please take a moment to go check it out and consider backing my wedding.  Thanks in advance to everyone who participates, there is a lot of cool stuff there including an exclusive sketchbook, print, commissions, and the opportunity to be in the audience at Axe Cop's wedding as a background character!

One of the most classic tales in the Axe Cop universe has now been gloriously given sound and movement by the animators over at Rugburn! Enjoy!  And be here Tuesday for the launch of Axe Cop Gets Married which will update every Tuesday AND Friday!

Still preparing for the launch of Axe Cop Gets Married on january 22nd!  Along with it we will be launching an additional Axe Cop Wedding website and my plan is to post two new pages per week!  It will be colored by Kailey, who colored the Dogs and did a great job. 

For now, I think this should hold you over because it is pretty dang awesome.  FOX ADHD turned Ask Axe Cop #10 into an animated short in anticipation of the upcoming TV series being released July 27.  FOX has also released some info about the cast, including regulars Ken Marino, Patton Oswalt and Megan Mullaly.  Guest voices include Giancarlo Esposito (Gus Fring on Breaking Bad) and Jonathan Banks (Mike from Breaking Bad) and more!   Enjoy…
 

At their amazing weekly pace, Rugburn has animated all the episodes that we had previously seen animated and now, for the first time we have episode 5 animated for your enjoyment:

I apologize that you don't have a new episode this week, but I am going to have to use the rest of the time before the 22nd to prepare for Axe Cop's new storyline.  I also have a lot of work to do preparing for my own wedding.  I pretty much just have a lot of work to do in general.  Also, I did this Axe Cop and Flute Cop walnut ink painting and it has less than two days left to bid.

I know some people want to know if this Axe Cop gets Married story will be “canon” and not some gimmick marriage.  No, this is a real Axe Cop story and it really is about Axe Cop looking for a wife.  It has all the stuff you usually get in an Axe Cop book, but it also has Axe Cop's way of approaching things like proposing, how to plan a wedding, etc.  It also involves him becoming an adoptive father.  It may even be more accurate to call this one “Axe Cop Gets a Family”.  

Thanks for all the support as I've posted new comics with Malachai and continued to create more Axe Cop here on this little web site I never would become what it has.  FOX officially announced the  air date for the TV series and the cast of voice actors we've got so far! It's pretty amazing.  Read for yourself. 

I may post some updates or guest episodes before the 22nd, but if not I'll see you back here then.

Alright, I won't have an update for a bit, but I want to tease you on the upcoming story with this image.  

As some of you know, I am currently engaged.  Malachai and I also have two other brothers, Noah and Isaiah who got married in July and September.  Weddings and marriage have been a popular topic, so I asked Malachai if Axe Cop would get married and a new story started.  I'm excited for this one.  I'll post more updates and info as the date comes closer.

I'm going to take a break for Christmas.  I'll be updating via the blog about our upcoming story, which will start in mid-January.  Also, don't forget to watch the new Rugburn animated episode #0!

I'm excited to tell you about the new story.  Some of you may have heard about it.  It is the closest thing to a romance you may ever see in the Axe Cop universe.  More on that soon!  I recommend you read the amazing Axe COp Christmas Special, and enjoy…
